The 95th annual National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show®
and the co-located 7th annual International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event at NRA
Show® (IWSB), held at Chicago’s McCormick Place, posted positive growth in
both attendee and exhibitor numbers for the third year in a row. As the most
comprehensive trade show for the foodservice industry, NRA Show/IWSB 2014
brought operators, dealers, distributors, experts, manufacturers and suppliers
together to address some of the most timely and relevant topics in the industry
including the effects of entrepreneurship, technology and social responsibility on
the industry’s future, sustainability, health and nutrition, building an effective and
profitable bar program, menu development and special dietary needs – and more.
Guest attendees had the opportunity to learn from acclaimed chefs such as
Maxime Bilet, co-author of Modernist Cuisine: The Art and Science of Cooking;
Top Chef Masters contestants Rick Bayless, David Burke, Graham Elliot, and Art
Smith; Travel Channel’s Andrew Zimmern, as well as Food Network stars Claire
Robinson, Robert Irvine, Marc Forgione; and more.
NRA Show also featured a great Foodamental Studio sessions with some of the
top chefs and intustry professionals like Chef Tim Graham, Lauryn Chen, author of
The Kimchi Cookbook: 60 Traditional and Modern Ways to Make and Eat Kimchi,
James Beard Best Chef: North East (2011) and owner of the acclaimed Craigie on
Maine Tony Maws, Executive Chef Stephanie Izard of Girl and the Goat and Little
Goat and many more
The annual National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show is the
