Conscious Planet Media presented the 3rd
Annual Vert Couture eco-fashion show as
part of the Fashion Focus Chicago 2011.
This carbon-neutral charity event
highlighted the continuum of Chicago's
sustainable, fair trade fashion movement.
Vert Couture featured the Spring/Summer
2012 collections of Chicago designers,
from rising ready-to-wear stars using
renewable fabrics and vintage materials to
established fashion showing the best in
luxury haute couture.
BRENDA ABDULLAH - Abdullah creates beautiful one of a kind couture dresses, tops and jackets from a mix of recyled wool, silk, denim and contemporary and vintage textiles
RICHARD DAYHOFF - This award-winning designer has created his first eco-friendly state-of-the-art men’s underwear collection using recycled polyester fibers, the eco-friendly management system rapidly transports perspiration to the outer surface; therefore the inner layer remains dry.
DOLLPARTS - The line consists of new designs fashioned from repurposed materials
HEART - collaborative clothing line that celebrates the body as a canvas through handmade garments of sustainably sourced fabrics imprinted with original photographic images.

sweaters as the foundation for
her handmade garments.
LAUREN LEIN - Merging re-purposed materials with sustainable fabric, LL re-creates runway looks that can be imagined as 24/7 day into evening wear, featuring earth, wind, water, fire and ice.
ROSINA~MAE - Rose Mae Turner Inspired by the power of communication, lines of architecture, and city streets, her line includes couture swimwear and separates made from unconventional recycled materials like glitter, metallic fabrics and PVC
SILK UTOPIA - With a belief that true fashion is both timeless and sustainable, designer Crystal Brooke McCann takes vintage silk couture wedding dresses and brings them back to life using an all-natural dying process.
