Style Makeover Series How Do I Look Debuts New Season 2010

When a person struggles to put together an outfit or fails to admit
their lackluster style effects how others perceive them, there’s
usually more to it than just a bad eye for fashion. One by one, the
stylistically challenged will finally confront the truth about their poor
dressing habits and get to the root of why it happened, as The Style
Network’s hit fashion intervention series “How Do I Look?” returns
with 20 brand new, life-changing episodes! With the help of host and
fashion expert Jeannie Mai, as well as concerned friends, family and
a professional stylist, they will confront, encourage and instruct their
loved ones toward better style sense. While these fashion disasters
learn vital tips to keep their look from going astray again, they will
discover more about themselves and even inspire a brighter outlook

In each episode, the intervention begins as Jeannie and the “How Do
I Look?” team displays the victim’s offending wardrobe and each
accomplice singles out the piece they find exceptionally appalling.
Once chosen, Jeannie disposes of each item through the 'Ewww
Tube' – a device that sucks clothes up through the ceiling and into
oblivion! Jeannie then drives the point home with a customized
lesson to show personal style means more than looking good.
Meanwhile, the accomplices and stylist hit the shops to each create
three personalized clothing collections for the victim’s consideration.
After the ensembles are assembled, the victim tries on each outfit
and chooses his or her favorite without knowing who pulled which one
together. With a new look, new hair, new make-up and a new
confidence, it’s time for the victim’s grand reveal on a stage at the
vibrant Hollywood & Highland® complex in Los Angeles. Following
the big unveiling in front of an eager audience that includes Jeannie,
the accomplices, friends and family, the new fashionista gets a
chance to guess who chose their winning look and is treated with a
special gift to keep on the right style track.

On the premiere episode, the “How Do I Look?” team have their work cut out for them,
as they rescue Alicia, a makeup artist who blindly thinks her unique Carrie Bradshaw
meets “Jersey Shore” style is hot. With her teased hair, mounds of makeup, fuchsia
lipstick and a love of leggings, this fashion disaster is single handedly upholding the
Jersey girl stereotype. While she believes her ability to mix different pieces and pair
patterns together separates her from the pack, it’s up to her brother and best friend,
as well as Jeannie and professional stylist Jordan Feldman, to show her that it does
separate her from the pack – just not in a good way! Can the team help tone down
Alicia’s colorful style into a more polished and professional look, or will she always
appear ready for a stroll on the Atlantic City boardwalk?
