Macy's Glamorama 2009 is a fusion of colors, textures, tastes and sounds that come together to create an exciting new aesthetic. This 11th annual eventtook place at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago on Friday, August 21 at 8PM. Headlined by Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Ne-Yo, his protégé and new pop sensation, Jadyn Maria, and jazz trio, The New Standards, Macy's fashion spectacular hit the runway with a modern twist on style benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. A special surprise appearance by Miss Piggy marked a first in Macy's Glamorama history. This over-the-top fully choreographed runway show once again raised the bar of technology with motion controlled high-resolution screens, full proscenium projections and an incredible rainfall effect. Designers this year include: CNC Costume National, Jean Paul Gaultier, Just Cavalli, Marc Jacobs, MaxMara, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Sonia Rykiel and SportMax. |
